Public: User Documentation : Creating Release Notes for a Version

Release notes can be generated for all issues in a project that are marked with a specific "Fix For" version. Although, the release notes do not contain the fix that was implemented for each issue, it can be outputted in editable HTML or text. It may also be possible to add the bug fixes by creating a Velocity template(see the Jira User Doc).
To generate the release notes, select the project and click the Release Notes link. Select the version and type(html,text), click Create, and the release notes will be created for any bugs that have been fixed for the selected version.
